Participant Agreement & Assumption of Risk

By checking the box below and completing my booking, I agree to the following:

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I understand that blacksmithing and knife forging activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Extreme heat and open flames

• Hot metal and sparks

• Sharp tools and blades

• Heavy equipment and hammering

• Burns, cuts, eye injuries, and other serious injuries

I understand these risks can result in serious injury, permanent disability, or death.

2. Voluntary Participation

I am voluntarily participating in activities at Wears Valley Forge and accept full responsibility for my participation.

3. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Tennessee law, I assume all risks associated with participation.

I release and hold harmless Wears Valley Forge, its owners, instructors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation, including claims resulting from negligence.

4. Medical & Fitness Confirmation

I confirm that I am physically able to participate and do not have any condition that would increase my risk.

I authorize emergency medical treatment if necessary and agree to be responsible for related medical expenses.

5. Safety Compliance

I agree to:

• Follow all safety instructions

• Wear required safety gear

• Not participate under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Wears Valley Forge may remove participants for unsafe behavior without refund.

6. Media Release

I grant permission for photos or videos taken during the experience to be used for marketing purposes unless I notify staff in writing before the session.

​

7. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
